The SyncLink GTs line of RS-422/RS-485 Speed-Enhanced adapters are specially manufactured with higher performance components to increase the maximum synchronous data rate to 20Mbps. Speed enhanced adapters otherwise operate identically to the standard SyncLink adapters.

The bus master DMA capability of the MicroGate designed serial controller used in the GTs family of adapters allows all ports to operate full duplex at the maximum data rate while minimizing host processor load.

The SyncLink family of adapters are synchronous/asynchronous, full duplex, serial communications cards supporting SDLC, HDLC, WAN, SNA, and BSC communications, just to name a few. SyncLink cards are currently available in USB, PCI, PCI Express and PC/104+ form factors.
